Greta
Weimaraner (Ruth N., Kentucky) 11/01/02 Gretta is an 8 year old Weimaraner rescue who had been with me for about a
month when she suddenly exhibited great pain and inability to use her back
legs. X-rays revealed very severe arthritis in her lower spine and other
areas of calcification as well. The vet put her on Bute
(anti-inflammatory medication which is hard on the stomach) for a week,
advising she would probably need to stay on it for the remainder of her
life. This was not a happy option for me or her, so I ordered the Fresh
Factors. Gretta is doing great. I also switched her diet to the food from
Performance Pet Foods (I'm feeding a combination of their grain-free
semi-moist kibble and their raw food as well as other supplements.) So
far, she has not had another episode of pain or lameness, so until she
does we are not starting an additional course of treatment. The
acupuncture vet does not feel there is any preventative action of
acupuncture, so we'll wait until she has further problems. Woody, one of
my pups, is giving her fits, but he is small enough to not hurt her, and
she manages to keep him in line with a few mother-type snarls and snips.
[update 11/10] Gretta has been on the Fresh Factors for about a month and
is doing very well. She has had no further episodes of pain or lameness
and is definitely feeling great.

Hunter
Weimaraner (Kat Berard) 11/02 I
had great success in late 2001 using Fresh Factors for Hunter, an older
rescue Weimaraner I and two other women fostered at separate times for
Weimaraner Rescue of North Texas. Hunter was approximately 10 years old
when rescued from a shelter. He had old shotgun pellets embedded within
and throughout his body (a
former hunting dog, obviously), was very stiff through the body and could
not bend to the side. He struggled to get up and down off the floor and
could not jump up on the couch or bed. His back legs were carried way out
behind him, and his back and belly sagged. He had other health problems
as well, and was about 10 lbs. overweight. I started him on a double dose
of Fresh Factors and within a week, my vet noticed a difference in his
ability to curve his body in a turn. I noticed that he wasn’t struggling
as much to get up and down, and that his back seemed less swayed. Within
two weeks his top line started straightening out. Over a month his back
legs started coming back under him and his hindquarter muscles started
developing again (he had been carrying all of his weight on the front end
for who knows how long). At two months, he was easily climbing through an
elevated doggie door in his foster home. [Hunter crossed the
Rainbow Bridge in September 2002; he is much loved and missed.]

Iceman
[no photo available] Retired K9 Narcotics Dog (Municipal PD)
Weimaraner (Gail O., Missouri)
11/10/02 Iceman is 13 years old and has been retired about 6 years. At
8 months old he developed Hip Dysplasia. At 9 and 10 months old he
underwent surgery for Triple Pelvic Ostiotomies. He worked hard for many
years, never giving in to his age. As he grew older, arthritis began to
take hold in his lower back and hips. My vet recommended Rimadyl for the
pain. While the cost was high, I was willing to do what it took to
relieve his pain. On your advice I started using Fresh Factors for Iceman
about two months ago, rather than using the Rimadyl for his age related
aches and pains, and arthritis. He is doing great. As a matter of fact,
he seems a few years younger!!! He runs and plays with the other dogs now
including the Weimaraner fosters! He has even lost a few pounds due to
his new activity level. I fully plan to continue his Fresh Factors as I
see a huge difference in not only his physical being, but his attitude as
well! The cost difference is major, I can afford to buy him his favorite
toys! The best thing is it’s natural, I don’t have to worry about side
effects like I did with Rimadyl.
