Amber
Weimaraner [Karen S., Texas] 11/24/02
Amber is a 13.5 year old Weimaraner who has never had stiff joints, but
she had an emergency spay performed a week ago. I started her on the
Fresh Factors and several other supplements because I want her to be
getting every "goody" possible to assist here in healing from surgery and
recovering optimal health.
Bubba
Weimaraner [Karen S., Texas] 11/24/02
Bubba is an 11.5 year old Weimaraner who has a very "up" personality and
always has. But he was definitely depressed after a serious back injury
several years ago, which ended his show career. He was always a joy to
show - he loves the spotlight, is perennially happy and thinks he owns the
world. I don't think he knows he's handicapped now. I have been giving
Fresh Factors to Bubba, along with MSM, Glucosamine, Juice Plus and an
aspirin a day. He's doing a lot better than he was before I started him on
the regimen. The addition of Juice Plus helped put some weight on him (I
think its major function is to help utilize food and vitamins). He was
very thin before the Juice Plus and he now looks pretty good for an “old
man”; his appearance improved dramatically. He had been on
Glucosamine and aspirin for a long time before I started him on Fresh
Factors, and the Fresh Factors made a big difference in his mobility.
He's been "up" again for over a year now. Since I started this regimen,
he gets around much better: up and down stairs, out through the dog door
(but can't get back in), and when my girls are in heat, he almost runs and
tries to mount them. He’s definitely feeling much better!

Barney,
blue Weimaraner [Kat Berard] 11/24/02
Barney is approximately two years old. I don’t know his true age because
he was rescued off the streets of San Antonio in December 2001 by two kind
women. His story can be seen at
www.weim.net/stoli (the Soap
for Hope website; see the Barney tab at the top of the home page).
I was a volunteer with Weimaraner Rescue of North Texas at the time,
their only San Antonio volunteer. Barney was very emaciated and ill, came
close to dying, and it was round-the-clock care for weeks. After
fostering him for four months and nursing him back to health, I couldn’t
bear to part with him so I adopted him in late April 2002. Barney’s vet
bills were about $2,300 and donations came in from all over the world.
Mary Kay Wolfshohl, the owner of Soap for Hope, started that business in
memory of her beloved Chivas (Weimaraner), who succumbed to cancer last
October, and in honor of Barney’s spirit and will to live. Barney’s story
deeply touched the hearts of many, and he was a catalyst for getting
new people involved in some manner with Weimaraner rescue nationally and
in Canada as well. He suffered greatly and for a long time on the
streets. I find it amazing that he is such a loving and friendly dog. He
still has anxiety about some things, including being left alone, but he’s
made tremendous strides in so many areas since he arrived here a year ago.
I share Barney’s story with you because
twice now, he has gotten into a bottle of Fresh Factors (the first time in
January 2002, while still on the road of recovery from his illnesses; the
second time about two weeks ago). The first time he ate about 100 tablets,
the last time it was about 160 tablets. He got his first bottle while
countersurfing and is apparently quite adept at removing screw-on tops!
The second time, I had it in a cloth bag with a bunch of other items under
the seat in my truck. I went into the post office for a few minutes. When
I came back, he had gotten the bottle out of the bag, the cap off the
bottle, and had eaten all of them. I don’t think he shared any of them
with Max either time! I am pleased to report that he suffered no ill effects from either incident,
although he was quite hyper and
energetic that day. The product has been
double-tested by Barney, an 80 lb. Weimaraner, and deemed safe.

Chase and Connor
Weimaraners [Laura R., Kansas]
11/24/02 Chase was a 9.5 year old Weimaraner with arthritis. I decided to
put Chase on the Fresh Factors as a natural alternative to the product
called Move Free which he’d been on for several years. Unfortunately he
was only on the Fresh Factors for a couple of weeks before I lost him just
recently to bloat. I had totally taken him off of Move Free and was only
using Fresh Factors. He was responding wonderfully! He seemed to be
feeling very well, almost puppy like again. I‘ve started giving Connor,
my younger Weimaraner, just a couple of tablets a day as a preventative
measure. He seems to be moving very well, but I really hadn't noticed any
problems before I began this regimen. I will continue this plan, and
increase the dosage if I feel he is having any issues. [Chase crossed
the Rainbow Bridge in November 2002, and is much loved and
missed]
