The following text is Mary Ann's description of her work: “All beings - be
they plant, animal or human - are made up of energy. And all beings have
layers of energy surrounding their physical bodies. These layers - known as an
aura or energy field - play an integral part in healing the physical body. An
energy healer uses learned techniques to cleanse the energy field surrounding
the physical body, or the energy in the physical body itself, of whatever may
be preventing the body from healing. This can include anything from an
unresolved emotion being stored in the physical body, to stagnant energy as a
result of an injury. By releasing these blocks, the body can heal itself more
effectively. Energy healing is always done with the intent of the best and
highest good for the being who is receiving healing.
Energy healing works by a domino effect. To begin with, it is very relaxing.
It creates a relaxation response from endorphins that are released, which
causes the muscles to relax. When the muscles relax or open up, this allows
for better circulation, which in turn allows for more oxygen to flow through
the body, which strengthens the immune system.
Energy healing does not have to be performed hands-on. It can, with the same
effectiveness, be performed long distance in the same way animal communication
can be performed at a distance. Because we are all energetic beings, energy
can be felt standing right next to a person/animal, or many miles away.
Energy healing can be beneficial in dealing with cancer. Because cancer is
embryonic in nature, cancer cells vibrate to a lower frequency than the rest
of the body. Due to this slowed down embryonic state, the body thinks it needs
to feed the tumor with blood. Thus cancer grows. Energy healing helps to raise
the frequency of the malignant cell to inhibit its growth. If the animal is
receiving chemotherapy or radiation, energy healing is helpful. Although
chemotherapy and radiation can retard or stop malignant growth, these
therapies can also lower the body's basic vibration level. Through energy healing,
the body's vibration can be maintained at a higher level to support the growth
of healthy cells as well as assisting in pain relief.
Another way in which energy healing can be beneficial is with an animal's
crossing over. By keeping the energy centers, or chakras, flowing and open,
the animal can be assisted in making the energy shift that we call death.
NOTE: Energy healing is NOT a panacea or to be used in lieu of any medical
protocol in dealing with a serious illness that requires a medical/holistic
regimen. It is a complementary treatment to enhance a chosen protocol to clear
stagnant energy in the physical and aural bodies, allowing for greater
efficacy of healing. “

Protect Your Pets In the Event of Your
Incapacity or Death According to one estimate, one-half million pets
are euthanized in U.S. shelters each year because their human caregivers have
predeceased them. I can’t stress enough how important it is to ensure you have
protections in place for the care of your pets should you die or become
otherwise incapacitated and unable to care for them. I’m in the process of
updating my pet trust and thought I’d share with you my wonderful attorney,

Eyes – Specialized Care Shouldn’t Be Neglected Only a handful of
veterinary hospitals in the country are dedicated solely to the treatment and
surgery of animal eyes. Charles Bonney, DVM and his clinic, Animal Eye
Hospital, are located on East Rhapsody in San Antonio. He is my animal eye
care specialist. My animals love Dr. Bonney and with good reason – he’s
friendly, genuine, and is well respected by the veterinary community for his
knowledge and skill (his clinic has been open since 1969). He has a gentle
manner, and is a sucker for handing out a treat or three (Barney has his
number!). Any time your animal friend has an eye injury, or with an older
animal (I recommend starting annual vision checks at your pet’s age 6,
regardless of species or breed), have their vision checked by an eye
specialist. It’s much easier to prevent or stop serious problems at the first
sign than try to deal with the aftermath of damage that can occur as the eye
