The Happy Factor
With Juelle and The Council (April
2008)
It is so much easier to be
happy than it is to hang on to anger, resistance, disappointment and
suffering. Happiness does not take energy, it generates it. And yet, why
does it seem happiness is so elusive and so difficult to maintain?
Happiness is actually a natural state of being. It is not just an emotion.
Emotions are fleeting, depending upon the moment and the circumstances. The
kind of happiness we are going for is constant, forms a foundation upon
which your emotions can express, and influences your actions. It is a state
of consciousness, a state of awareness, fluid and flowing. It is a presence
of mind, heart and soul. Happiness is in fact, vital to health and well
being.
Happiness has nothing to do with how much stuff you have, how big your home
is, the perfect job or relationship or how much money you have in the bank.
If you go into some of the poorest nations or cultures in the world, it is
remarkable how you can find the happy factor very high in spite of the fact
that the people have so little compared to the western cultures.
The King of Butan, a number of years ago, declared that it was his goal to
strive for "gross national happiness" in his small kingdom, for all the
people. That triggered a wave of heart opening around the world when such a
figure would say that happiness is more important than gross national
product, development and acquisition.
An interesting thing occurred with the Thai students in this past Power of
One program in Thailand. One question was posed to the group, students and
mentors, "what are your dreams for your life, your family and for your
world?" Consistent with nearly each Thai student was the mention of the
desire for happiness for their families, for themselves and all that they
love. Happiness figured as prominently on their list as being a doctor or a
teacher. Such openheartedness.
A few years ago our channel and her partner were in Burma in a remote
mountain village. Now you all have heard about the oppressive military
regime in Burma that literally cuts down its people. It is horrible.
Well, they were in this little village and it was nighttime and the entire
village did not have electricity making it pitch black. Our channel went
walking into the dark night with her partner. It was cold so the smell of
campfires permeated the streets. Suddenly coming up behind them was the
sound of footsteps. It seemed a little disconcerting and eerie. There was no
reason for them to be alarmed and yet, the past, the dark, the oppression,
the unknown struck them for a moment. And then, just like that, the man
behind them began to sing. He walked past them singing his heart out.
Shortly, across the valley another voice began to sing and then off in the
distance another voice and then another until voices of song filled the
smoky mountain village.
Our channel was so struck by this. How can these people sing, express
happiness when so much is terrifying in their lives. How can they keep
singing?!
And then she thought of her immediate response when the man suddenly walked
up behind them in the darkness, a response born of the past.Right beside her
sudden fear walked the song of happiness. It was one of those poignant
moments that changes you forever.
It is time for happy.
You are blasted every day in myriad ways with thoughts, stressors and energy
about what is wrong in the world, what you need to watch out for in your
life. The big thing of course at the moment is the financial well being of
your country and your own check book.
As the planetary shifts continue, you are seeing that the American culture,
well in fact, most Western cultures, have been in a bubble. It has been a
bubble of a false sense of security, safety, strength and power. Nothing bad
can ever really happen here, our government will take care of us, we live
the good life---prevailing thoughts in that bubble.
Ever so slowly that bubble has been leaking as you all are recognizing that
the life support has been artificial all along. Your culture is giving way.
It is a good thing ultimately, because a new culture is emerging through
every one of you. However at the moment that the life support seems to be
pulled, it is mighty uncomfortable. You will want to remember that as
enlightened spiritual beings, you are creating a new culture on a new earth
star. It is not one made up of artificial life but one made of natural life,
connected to the abundance of nature, each other and the cosmos. The new
culture you are creating is honoring one another's lives, gifts and
uniqueness, understanding that you are one people who will work together to
love and support your planet as it transitions to a new world.
To build this new possibility, you need the powerful positive energy of
happiness. You will want to work from this place, as opposed to trying to
get your jobs done from a place of anger, fear or resentment.
Have you noticed how many people are having heart issues again? We tell you
hearts all over the world are opening. However for many people it feels like
a heart attack. Interesting metaphor. The heart is actually attacking.
Attacking what? Hearts really are not attacking but rather are opening as a
way to relieve the stress, relieve the pain, relieve limitation and relieve
suffering. It might feel like an attack, but it really is your very own
heart seeking more peace, more understanding, more compassion, more love and
more happiness.
Do you know what the wave of the future will be---all the new little souls
coming in as crystalline star children? They are coming in on the wave of
open heartedness. And you, as the way showers are opening the energetic
passageway of consciousness for this to happen.
This is only one good reason and there are many, why it is so important for
your well being to not buy into the fear and negative energy but rather keep
creating the happy factor, as Donovan puts it. When you can stay in the
state of awareness that is a natural state of happiness, you are empowered
and inspired to deal with the stress of your lives. When you are in the
fear, anger or despair, it is not uplifting energy and it is therefore very
difficult to find creative solutions to the day to day situations that you
must absolutely handle.
Now then, how to keep supporting the happy factor in your life and the lives
of all around you:
*Stay focused. Stay focused in the NOW. Stay focused on your visions,
what is perfect about your lives and your world. Even when you have
extremely difficult situations to deal with, stay focused on the fact that
there is somehow a higher purpose to it all, a kind of perfection that you
will come to understand. Stay focused in this moment. Most people find
themselves flitting from the pain of the past or the fear of the future,
that they might experience the pain once again. This is called suffering.
Staying focused in the moment has you being present and creative. You just
do the next single thing you are moved to do.
*Screaming and throwing a fit, getting depressed, getting angry really
does not change anything. When you are finished with that, maybe you
blew off a little bit of energy, but whatever you were having your fit about
is still there. And you know we always love the emotional bodies and want to
support them as much as possible. So if you must have a fit, go away from
everyone you love or who loves you and go have it. Set the whiner timer for
5 minutes and then, for heaven's sake, get back to yourself. Because you are
still waiting there for you, when you are finished!
*Don't take yourself, your path or your world so seriously. This
comes from the fear of getting it wrong, which triggers abandonment,
rejection, lack of approval, lack of support and so on. You will be devoted,
dedicated and give 100% but do it with lightheartedness. Everything that
exists is impermanent. Here today, changing and perhaps gone tomorrow. Of
course situations are indeed serious, but not that serious. Stay light
hearted in a very serious way. (Don't you love the paradoxes!)
* Hand in hand with seriousness is attachment. Attachment to outcome,
attachment to what you think someone should do for you if they love you,
attachment to how you think anything should be. Again, you will dedicated,
committed to your visions and yet, no attachments. Why? Because it sets you
up for disappointments if everything and everybody is not exactly as you
think it should be and this is limiting. It limits life's experiences and
this point leads us to the next way to increase the happy factor.
*Live limitlessly. Be willing to say I blew it and I learned a lot as
a result. Be willing to make excellent mistakes without judging yourself as
a loser. So you did something. Find peace with it. In most cases it is
better that you did something rather than doing nothing.
*Make peace with technology. Sounds like an odd one doesn't it. Not
really. The point is to make peace with whatever bugs you—the elections,
screaming children, the neighbor or technology. Just do the very best that
you can to deal with the things that you feel helpless about. Staying
annoyed produces negative energy and in fact keeps creating the very thing
that you are bugged about. Find a place of peace with it, recognizing that
"it is what it is." This neutralizes the energy. Your job is to get a new
relationship to it, stop resisting it (it persists!) and try on another way
to be with it. Eventually, you will shift the negative response to a more
positive one, creating positive energy and along with it, solutions.
*Do not resist current reality, believing that someone did something to
you—a person, a government, or a boss for instance. Rather than flowing
the energy of resistance, which is always trying to push something away
(which creates more of the something,) take responsibility for your destiny!
You are powerful creators of possibilities, not victims of circumstance.
Don't resist what you think is wrong but rather, get about the business of
bringing into your reality something that is more in alignment with your
soul, your preferences and your desires. It doesn't help to push away
anything, it helps to open your arms, hearts and heads and be willing to
receive new insights, new perceptions and then new directions. It will come.
Because everything is always changing, a new take on your reality is always
available to you.
*Hang out with positive interesting people and positive situations.
*Allow that the emotions associated with happiness may not be present
every minute. Emotions are emotions, flowing in and out. Just because you
have times of expressing or feeling all sorts of emotions, does not mean
that you are void of happiness. At the heart of it all, even if it feels so
buried, is a natural state of joy and when you least expect it, it
percolates up to the top of your awareness to express itself. It is there,
somewhere. That is why this list of things to remember. One of these
thoughts can create a moment that touches that deep abiding happiness, it
surfaces and for a moment you remember who you are and that life is good.
The idea is to build on those moments. For some people you will build on
them one moment at a time, until finally, it is a whole life that you have
created.
*Sing. Laugh. Jump. Smile. The villagers in Burma sing to remind
themselves of their true reality, to remind themselves that life is not
totally the terror. They sing to always remember human kindness and who they
are. Have you noticed how children will be walking along and suddenly they
just jump up in the air. A moment of spontaneous expression of freedom in
the happy. What would happen if you just suddenly jumped up in the air? Your
co-workers might think you lost your mind and maybe in that moment, you did
which is a good thing. No worries, you will find it again. But for that
single moment when you took flight, how could you take things seriously? It
is a lift off of energy a charge of juice to your day. With all the serious
concerns of life, adults have forgotten how to fly.
A smile. Then a laugh. Smile wrinkles are just the best. Why would anyone
want them to go away? It indicates a life of smiling happiness. A simple
smile can turn anyone and any moment into a totally different experience. Do
more of that to increase the happy factor.
*Say "Yes" more. The world is just so full of no, no, no, no.
Negative no's. Say yes, I can do that. Yes, I will think about that. Yes, I
would love that. Yes, I can receive this. Yes, I can give that to you. Yes,
I chose a new experience. Yes, I chose a new thought. Yes, I love that. Yes,
I love you. Say yes to life's invitations and then watch as the universe
rushes in to support your efforts.
* Practice----------------Conscious thought. Conscious speech. Conscious
action. It yields no regrets.
*Choose more experiences that make you feel on purpose, connected and
happy. You all spend so much of your time in stress and hurry mode or
doing things that are not what you would chose to do. To begin a shift on
that, it is useful to choose experiences every minute you can that uplift
you and make you feel awesome. Don't make up excuses about money,
responsibilities and time, to keep you from choices that produce more happy
factor. You can not afford to do this. Make one of those choices and
suddenly the energy supports that choice, keeps the flow going and more
finances or time shows up.
And when you have those experiences, take lots of pictures! Keep one that
totally captures the experience for you, where you can see it each day or
any time that you need a reminder that life is good.
*Stop throughout the day and breathe. Many of you are so busy, so
stressed. Busy is ok, but stress wears you out and drains your creative
energy.
Try to isolate your stressors so you can understand their impact and so you
can have some control over them. Stress works like this; something happens,
then your mind does a spin on it, creating all sorts of stories about it,
usually based upon experiences of the past or a worry about the future. This
is not useful and only creates more stress.
Stop the brain chatter. Go outside. Breathe. Remind yourself that all the
mental craziness is a waste of energy and give your mind a sweet rest.
Eventually, you will come back to the thing that caused the stress and you
will be able to see it for what it is and most likely have some creative
solutions in dealing with it. Go outside more. Breathe with the trees.
*Do all the fun ju-ju woo woo things you can think of to remind yourself
that you are prosperous and in the flow! Yup, that's what we are saying.
Why? Because it is fun. And, it helps you have a visual or a sensory message
that goes directly to your brain that stimulates a new thought.
Do things like, hanging all those Feng Shui treatments all over your house
and especially in your abundance corner. Find your abundance corner! Dump
essential oils all over your checkbook and wallet. It is great when you open
it up, take in the fragrance of abundance and your brain say YES! Don't
forget about all that good ole' pyramid power. Get one, a crystal or
something shaped like a pyramid and put the biggest bill under it you can so
that the pyramid power can help you multiply your wealth. And don't you dare
put a $5 bill under there! Do ceremonies, chants anything that reminds you
that you are connected to the natural flow of things, nature and nature
always lives in a state of abundance.
Now, do you have to do these things? Of course not. Because abundance just
is! It too is a part of that natural state of happy. However, to do these
things is fun. It makes you feel you are participating with manifestation
and it reminds your mind to stay in the NOW with the fun of it all rather
than the fear that your checkbook is dwindling. Of course, you still must
attend to the checkbook. And you have a better chance of doing so when you
are in a positive mind set, a positive energy.
Oh dear holy precious light workers, the pursuit of happiness is your right
and your natural state of awareness. It is not just a ha-ha kind of thing we
are talking about. It is a joy that is deep and abiding, that flows no
matter what. To tap into it, to open your heart to receive even more,
creates more positive flow in your life, in every respect.
To make choices to increase your happy factor is to live in your power. If
you are happy, you are creative, inspired and inspiring. If you are happy
you flow your life along with your whole world in a positive forward
movement. It is the greatest service you can give your world and your people
right now.
Open your heart to the happy.
With gratitude,
